ArtCentrica is the EdTech innovative startup, Centrica's spinoff, with which we innovate the teaching and learning of Art and through Art in schools and universities. With ArtCentrica EDU we want to revolutionise how art is taught, learned and appreciated and the learning of other disciplines through art, being able to have an impact on students and art lovers, and so on society. At the same time our business model brings visibility and a payback to the museums that are in formal partnership with us.ArtCentrica EDU is a cloud application with more than 8,000 artworks, from 21 global museums (Uffizi Galleries, Brera, MET, Rijksmuseum,...) with images up to 10 GigaPixel for each artwork. Through the lens of art, it aims to provide students with essential soft skills to tackle today’s and tomorrow’s challenges, as well as to support teachers in their mission to educate in an ever-changing society.With ArtCentrica Platform we design customised projects, called ArtCentrica Ad Hoc, like "The Greatest Wildlife Photographs" for National Geographic, Digital Mantegna, and more.Since March 2023, Centrica can rely on the support of the Giordano Dell'Amore Social Venture Foundation, which has invested in the mother company as part of the "Impact4Art" program for the development of ArtCentrica. Moreover ArtCentrica has received a grant from DTC Lazio, the district of technologies for cultural heritage.In 2021 – 2023 ArtCentrica has won prestigious awards and has been selected in many acceleration programs: Global Startup Awards Winner in the “That’s Geography” track, CultTech startup accelerator program in Vienna, FoundersBoost as an early-stage tech startup that is ready for accelerators and funding, FuturED’s acceleration path by CDP Venture Capital SGR - National Innovation Fund at H-FARM, Accelerate Italy, Global StartUp Program in San Francisco by ITA - Italian Trade Agency, finalist for Digital Innovation of the Year in Apollo Awards 2022.
