Além disso, a subsecretaria exerce um papel de integração da Junta Comercial do Estado de São Paulo (Jucesp) e dos órgãos de licenciamento do Estado com a Rede Nacional para Simplificação do Registro e da Legalização de Empresas e Negócios (Redesim). O Governo de São Paulo transferiu a Jucesp para a Secretaria de Desenvolvimento Econômico, Ciência e Tecnologia com o objetivo de alinhar o órgão às políticas de desenvolvimento econômico do Estado, tornando-se o termômetro da economia paulista.
