The rural enterprise is located at Estrada Aiuruoca/Alagoa, km 12, Guapiara Farm, Rural Area, Aiuruoca, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The farm covers a total area of 190.00 hectares, of which 8.48 hectares are dedicated to sugarcane production for cachaça. Cachaça production began in 2012, when the entrepreneurs identified a business opportunity that could be integrated into the farm, which is also dedicated to forestry. The company is managed by Arnaldo Ramoska (40%), with partners Antonio C. Castellani (40%), Sergio Castellani, Ítalo M. T. Castellani (5%), Selma A. de Oliveira, Fabio H. Moreira, Adilson de Oliveira, Leonardo H. Simões, and Cristiane S. Cavichini (2%). The distillery has a production capacity of 60,000 liters per harvest, while production in recent years has averaged approximately 25,000 liters per harvest. The company holds voluntary certifications, including CERTIFICA MINAS, and SAT (production without pesticides). Our main consumer markets are São Paulo and Minas Gerais, predominantly bars and restaurants. Sales to other Brazilian states are still limited. We have implemented several environmental initiatives to promote more sustainable production and reduce our environmental impact. The farm has photovoltaic panels that provide energy self-sufficiency for the administrative and production areas throughout the year. Sugarcane bagasse is composted and used as organic fertilizer in the sugarcane fields. We also cultivate selected yeast strains on the farm, which are used to prepare the fermentation starter for cachaça production. The water used to cool the stills comes from natural springs located on the property and is returned to its natural watercourse after use. Water used for juice dilution is treated specifically for this purpose. Finally, the entire Legal Reserve of the enterprise is located within the farm and is interconnected, forming an ecological corridor that allows the movement of local fauna and flora and promotes natural genetic exchange. The Nascentes do Aiuruoca II Private Natural Heritage Reserve (RPPN) was established on the property for ecotourism development and environmental research.
