Uniting more than 140 unions, the Federation of Industries of Santa Catarina State (FIESC) represents the strength of Santa Catarina's industrial sector, which has more than 50 thousand companies and 700 thousand workers. Affiliated to the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), it is the leader in the FIESC System, which includes four other entities: the Center of Industry of Santa Catarina (CIESC), the Industrial Social Service (SESI/SC), the National Industrial Educational Service (SENAI/SC) and the Euvaldo Lodi Institute (IEL/SC). FIESC supports the development of the industrial sector and thus the social and economic development of Santa Catarina. It is also responsible for the institutional representation of Santa Catarina's industrial sector before government and with organized civil society. Defending the interests of industry, it works in the fields of labor relations, legislation, taxes, infrastructure, the environment and foreign trade and also produces economic information and supports the strengthening of sectoral entities.
