About me
Born to an architect father and a medical assistant mother, Michelle Smith was taught that her dreams were there for the taking.
After leaving Alpha Commercial College, Smith spent 24 years as an Administrator working for a diverse range of companies including the Embassy of the USA, Texaco Jamaica, Appliance Traders Ltd, and American Airlines..
During this time, Smith embarked on her 1st entrepreneurial idea where she discovered chocolate and the hunger for manufacturing it grew and after months of research, realized that in the chocolate world, ideas were limitless.
In 2004, within the walls of a 2 bedroom apartment, Chocolate Dreams began. Years later, Smith manages and coordinates a team of 18, delivering whatever the mind can dream in chocolate - rum soaked chocolate cherries, chocolate tamarind balls, chocolate truffles filled with tropical delights!
Michelle serves on the Board of the Jamaica Manufacturers Association as VP in charge of Fundraising.
Her chocolate love parallels her love for her island home fulfilling her company’s tag line -“Created with passion, handmade with love in Jamaica”.
