I studied Graphic Design and Communication in “Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana” in México City from 1986 to 1990. I worked in the field of Graphic Design and Advertising in different design studios and Agencies such as Young and Rubicam Mexico. From 1997 to 2014 I worked in the accademic fiels as Design Professor and academic program coordinator in the jesuit university “Universidad Iberoamericana” in the city of León, Guanajuato State (México). I founded the Project “Árbol de Viento” in april 2010, which is dedicated to design, produce and comercialize hand made handbags and accesories, combining traditional artisan work (such as palm weave and traditional textiles) with genuine leather. In june 2012 “Arbol de Viento” participated and won in the categorie of Most Socially Responsible handbag in the “SIXTH INDEPENDENT HANDBAG DESIGNERS AWARDS” in New York City, organized by Designres 101 and InStyle Magazine. In February 2013 “Arbol de Viento” participated in the “Oscar Gift lounge” in Beverly Hills, Los Ángeles. In November 2013 “Árbol de Viento” participated in the “Mercedes Benz Fashion Week”, with the handbag collection “Daughters of the rain”, as a complemet for the 2014 spring-summer collection of the Fashion designer Lydia Lavín. Fron 2011 to 2017 “Arbol de Viento” has participaited in many different wholesale and retail shows in México.
