Samuel Valdés Díaz

I am Samuel Valdés Díaz, director at Biodiversity Consultant Group (BCG). Former president of the privately protected natural reserves of Panama and ex-director of protected areas and biodiversity of the Ministry of Environment of Panama. Throughout my career, I have led and participated in numerous projects of great relevance and scope, both nationally and internationally, related to environmental impact assessment, biodiversity monitoring, mitigation and compensation of effects on fauna and flora, development of species conservation plans, management plans for public and private protected areas, and the nomination of World Heritage sites. I own a butterfly farm that produces butterfly pupae for the international market, and after five years of work, I am finally ready to export some of Panama's best and most sustainable cocoa beans.
