Mamadou MBAYE

Mamadou Mbaye, President, Managing Partner, has 25 years of work experience in Commodities trading, Investment management, and Fund management across Europe and Asia of which 15 years in managerial/ executive positions, in companies like Cargill and Goldman Sachs. He is the former Chief Investment Officer of Magellan Capital, an Investment Holding Company owned by ICBC, focused on investing in Energy, Mining and Infrastructure mainly in Africa with a strong track record. He also served as Executive Vice President of FONSIS (Senegalese Sovereign Fund), where he developped the renewable portfolio of the country with partners like Meridiam (Senergy), Eiffage (Ten Merina) or Engie (Scaling Solar). Mamadou just finalized the structuring of the Djibouti Sovereign wealth fund in which he is the acting CEO. Mamadou hold a Master of Science from Ecole Polytechnique in France and a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique (ENSAE) in France.
