George Mathanool

George Mathanool is a Director at Vumont Ventures LLC. and Global Millennium Trust P/L. Both entities are in international ventures and private equities, with several private interests and key IP stakes within digital security, payments and trusted transaction technologies.

Prior to the above, George was amongst the pioneers of Identrus LLC., as its General Representative – for Far East region. Identrus LLC., A body, then regulated by the US Federal Reserve, was mutually owned by international consortium of 60 tier-1 banks, such as Citigroup, JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, HSBC, Barclays, Royal Bank of Scotland, ABN AMRO, Deutsche Bank, KEB, Mizuho, ANZ etc..

Identrus re-defined domestic and global policies and capabilities for secure transactions, funds transfer, trusted e-banking, international legal frameworks, digital identity standards and develop open e-market commerce. Such efforts provided banks the roots to transition traditional bank services into the internet and the foundational standards to evolve all global banks and its related services into the world-wide-web.

As a seasoned banker and tech-evangelist in AsiaPac, George promoted e-banking start-ups, the nascent concept of e-trust and privacy across central banks and knowledge-based economies to break ground for electronic transactions, risk management and international payments, that's ubiquitous today. He had initiated several stages of highly complex programs to deliver frameworks for non-repudiation in e-commerce, e-banking, e-Government and wider adoption of smart-card usage across Asia, the Pacific and Europe, together with local banks, their vendors and key partners; IBM, PWC, Ernst & Young, Entrust, Deloitte, Gemplus, SWIFT, Paypal, Microsoft, Sun-Microsystems, Verisign, Norton, RSA, Intel etc..

George was an elected International Board Director and Vice President for International Developments & Relations - Information Systems and Security Association (ISSA). The ISSA has chapters in 32 countries, with over 15,000 professional members. Within ISSA his oversight included; Global alliances and Governmental relations, Co-Chair for ISSA / ISO 27000 WGs, Liaison for the Liberty Alliance Project, Chair of Chapter Mentorship Development Program, Advisor to ISSA Singapore Chapter, ISSA's Regional Director for South Americas and Asia-Pacific countries. By these oversight, he actively monitored chapter wellness in Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific.
