François Améguidé

François Améguidé is Senior Finance and Investment Officer of Africa Business Group (ABG). François Is a bilingual (French and English), third culture (native Cameroonian, South African educated, permanent resident in South Africa) finance and investment professional. His professional focus over the past nearly 20 years has been primarily in investment banking, payments, private equity, business sustainability and impact investing, most recently. He has been involved in the entire deal-making lifecycle from origination, execution through exit. He has also initiated and managed strategic relationships with various key stakeholders across Africa, both in the private and public sector. In addition, he has been involved in business development, investment promotion and portfolio management across sub-Saharan Africa. François’ core skills include: strategic deal-making, business development, investments’ portfolio management, business analytical, business strategy, leadership and stakeholders management. Currently, François serves on the Board of Impact@Africa, a UNDP and African Union supported African impact investment ecosystem development network. He also provides business coaching to high potential East African entrepreneurs and their 'good businesses' in the SHONA Growth Program. François holds a MBA degree from the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) with five distinctions, a Post Graduate Diploma in Research Methods & Skills from Maastricht School of Management, Netherlands he obtained as a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) candidate, a BCom Honors Degree with a concentration in Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelors of Commerce with an Economics concentration from the same institution.
