Magdalena Rodriguez

I'm a bachelor in Graphic Design, UX Expert, Serial Entrepreneur, TEDx Speaker, winner of many International Awards for Women in Business, innovation and Social Impact. In 2007, my entrepreneurial spirit led me to quit my job and launch, PRO Internacional. More than 10 years later, PRO International become one of the leading web design and development companies in Uruguay, providing not only web design and development, but also online marketing campaigns, maintenance and support and mobile apps desing and development. Our company has more than 500 customers in 15 countries and won several national and International Awards, such us the Cartier Womens Initiative Award in 2009. At the end of 2013 I also Co-Founded GPSGay, a mobile for the LGBTQ community, that started as an spin-off of PRO Internacional. I became an entrepreneur guided on the firm belief that companies help to shape the world and so improve other’s lives. I'm very proud to say that with GPSGay we've also received several international recognitions and awards, such as: the Mobile Premiere Award (2015) in Barcelona as one of the Best up and coming App in the World. I also Co-Founded the LGBT Chamber of Commerce of Uruguay in 2015 and in 2017 I became part of the Directory Board at the Golden Gate Business Association, the World's first LGBT Chamber of Commerce in San Francisco, California. I personally believe that when you really want make a change in the society, the best way to do it, is through entrepreneurships with social impact: "do well by doing good". In this sense, it is very important for me to do what I love, and at the same time make money out of it. I believe that when you do what you love, you do not mind working all day long, because you really enjoy what you are doing.
