Javier Carrera Ruesga

Costa Rican born, living in Mexico, graduated in 1979, as a B.Sc. in Animal Science from Monterrey Tech, Mexico, and extra studies from Texas A&M University, University of Edinburgh, Scotland, etc. Began my career as a forage researcher, for two years. After completing post grad was invited to be part of Banpais Bank as an Agronomist Technical Consultant, before becoming the Regional Manager in 1986, that year started my own consultancy company with four partners. In 1991 was invited to form and start FGH. In the late 90's, I participate in Pulsar International Corp., for two years as a Project Manager, traveled extensively thru the Americas, searching new Agribusiness opportunities for the Company, which by the way, was a leading worldwide agribiz player with more than 800 Ph.D´s. Contributing directly to sustainable Agri-business growth is where my interests lie. Like getting into the detail, understanding problems, and developing solutions. Strategic thinker and enjoy considering what will be important in the future. Working with and bringing together the right partners to create synergies is a fundamental part of finding sustainable solutions. Enjoy working as part of a team but equally comfortable in leading, developing and delivering strategies that achieves new goals. Grounded, perspective, understanding, and sensitivity developed from work in a wide variety of fields and positions, and just as important, life experiences and a well-trained and established work ethic and varied Professional skill set. Extensive experience in written & oral reporting and presentation of results to a wide variety of professional and non-professional stakeholders and audiences (national and international). FGH HQ´s are in Tampico, where I actually live with my family, FGH operates as a shared services unit type structure, offering Administrative, Human Resources, Tax, Legal, Training, Travel Logistics and TI services to different regions of the Americas.
