Andre Leirner Architect received his bachelor in Architecture from the University of São Paulo in 1996 and acquired Masters in Arts with distinction from the Architectural Association of London in 1999. In 2006 he graduated in Public Administration & Political Science from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo. From 2000 to 2002 he worked as a Technical Advisor to the president of EMURB - São Paulo Urban Development Company- during the IDB program Procentro, a US$ 160 MI loan to the Municipality of São Paulo. In 2003 he was made assistant coordinator of the IDB Monumenta Program in Sao Paulo, a US$ 40 MI loan to a heritage preservation and urban development program. From 2004 to 2009 he worked as information systems and communication specialist consultant for the IDB, having worked on the Paulinia urban structuring programme (2004-2005, US$ 30 MI – ICT component), São Jose dos Campos (2006, US$ 40 MI - ICT component) and State of Ceará II (US$ 20 MI - ICT component). He also worked as a project manager for industrial plant design. In 2006 he designed Semp Toshiba Bahia (R$ 40 MI) and from 2010 to 2011 coordinated the design works for Lavazza Coffee Rio de Janeiro (R$ 50MI) and STIHL Machinery&Equipment São Leopoldo (R$ 30MI). In 2012 he performed planning works to Associação Casa Azul and ever since he has been working as an ICT Design consultant to GTE FCAV. He is a member of the editorial board of the journal Organization and Society and interacted as a collaborator in co-authorship of scientific papers. He is a guest researcher at the Center for Studies in Public Administration and Government (CEAPG) and at the Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning.
