The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) will contract consulting services on sustainable mobility in Nayarit, Mexico. Expressions of interest must be received using the IDB Portal for Operations Executed by the Bank http://beo-procurement.iadb.org/home before November 21, 2023 5:00 P.M. (Washington DC time).
The consulting services seek to carry out a comprehensive study of mobility and road safety for the state of Nayarit, with emphasis on improving the coverage, infrastructure and quality of public transportation, whose findings serve to support the generation of public policies, the decision-making process. decisions and implementation of evidence-based projects.
The study focuses on identifying the main challenges and proposing solutions, as well as improvements for public transportation and road safety in Nayarit. The study must consider all transportation services in the modalities of collective service and individual and collective taxi service operated in the state. Understanding collective service as: Urban (is that provided within the urban areas of a municipal territory); Metropolitan (is one that is provided within the urban areas of two or more municipal territories that are physically or functionally conurbated); Suburban (is that which is provided from rural communities to the municipal seat and vice versa, or from one community to another, within the municipal territory), and Intermunicipal (is that which is provided between various points located on state roads and highways that cross two or more municipalities of the same state). Individual and collective taxi service understood as that intended for the transfer of people within the territory of a specific Municipality, even if their destination is another municipality or outside the state, without being subject to a fixed schedule and itinerary.
The project will last 6 months. The consulting firm is expected to have a work team in Mexico. Firms may subcontract such experts in the area as they deem necessary to meet the experience and knowledge requirements of the terms of reference.
