Consulting to promote green citizenship at school age

The IDB intends to hire consulting services to promote green citizenship at school age.

The objective of this consultancy is to analyze the inclusion of green citizenship in policies, curricula, teaching and learning materials, teacher training strategies and/or learning tests, and provide specific recommendations on how to enhance the learning of these skills through their inclusion in the same in different countries of the region, taking as reference the existing literature and success stories in the world.

Consulting services include, among others:

• Define a methodology for the analysis of policies, curricula, educational materials, teacher training and/or learning tests that identify the main trends regarding the level of inclusion of green citizenship in educational systems.
• Map the development of green citizenship at school age in policies, curricula, educational materials, teacher training and/or learning tests, in all the countries of the region.
• Deepen the analysis in a sample of LAC countries that have made progress in the inclusion of green citizenship at school age and complement the analysis of policies, curricula, educational materials, teacher training and/or learning tests with an analysis on arrival green citizenship to the classroom and student learning.
• Analyze three countries outside the region that have successfully implemented green citizenship in their policies, curricula, educational materials, teacher training and/or learning tests, and are successful in the implementation in the classroom and present comparatively their progress bis by bis the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.
• Development of recommendations to strengthen the learning of green citizenship at school age
