Wolter Chocolates is a family run company. Since 1958 produces chocolate bars made from cocoa beans harvested and processed in the company´s land . The factory is located within the premises of “Hacienda La Luz”, in Comalcalco, Tabasco, Mexico which is one of the oldest haciendas of the zone called “Chontalpa Tabasqueña”, a renown cocoa producer region in México. Its founder was Dr. Otto Wolter Hayer, a German immigrant after whom the brand was named. Our company has followed a very strict policy to preserve the original recipes and purity of ingredients in order to offer high quality natural products. Furthermore, all our activities are carried out in harmony with our commitment to preserve both our natural and social environment. Since 2014, Wolter has produced fine "tree to bar" chocolate using cocoa beans from its own plantations and cocoa beans that are purchased from small producers located in Chiapas and Tabasco. Wolter currently have 54 international awards in two of the most important fine chocolate competitions in the world: "International Chocolate Awards" and "Chocolate Academy", which makes us the most awarded Mexican chocolate company in the world We export chocolate coverings to France, where one of the most renowned chefs -winner of 3 Michelin stars-, designs his line of spiced chocolates brought from various parts of the world. We are a small company that manufactures chocolate bars and coverings made from fine aroma cocoa beans. We have 26 hectares of criollo and trinitarian cocoa beans in the state of Tabasco, Mexico. We have specialized in the fermentation and roasting processes of cocoa beans, as well as in the processes to obtain chocolates with very particular flavor notes that make our chocolates stand out from the rest of the others on the market. Currently, we are entering international markets that look for bars and chocolate coverings made with fine cocoa beans for special niches of high socioeconomic status.
