ORIGIN The word de-vo-tio comes from the Latin devotions 'vote, dedication, devotion'. DVOTIO design studio 'eco-active", dedicated to exploring the synergy between design, sustainability, indigenous tradition and innovation. Our purpose is to harmonize the priceless techniques of traditional craftsmanship with contemporary artistic elements. TECHINIQUES By working with exceptional pre-Colombian techniques it seeks to preserve the origins and semi-extinct traditions of the region and offer a final product with much more experimental concepts with modern language, contributing to the sustainability. The brand present statement pieces, since each has been carefully crafted by the design team, with the help of local artisans with exceptional pre-Colombian techniques rescuing origins and semi-extinct tradition of the region, achieving harmony, connectivity to existing industrial processes and materials. Our challenge is to create new trends and artistic expressions from the original elements, for design and art lovers pieces with an invaluable cultural wealth. DVOTIO is a social project that aims at promoting community development through the valorization of local craftsmanship and industry in South America. We are traveling to different destinations to learn and rescue exceptional artisanal techniques.
