Colorá Chief Executive Officer: Emilia Vargas Aldana Art Director: Alejandra Márquez Díaz Colorá -Emotions in motion- is a research group about worldwide spread of Colombian culture. It counts with professional artists who have outstanding performance in national and international recognized competitions, not only in folkloric dance, but also in classical, contemporary, modern, urban, popular dance and rhythmic gymnastics. Colorá performs shows full of charm, cadence, happiness, passion, seduction, technique and thrilling motions. The audience will see and feel Colombian cultural wealth merging traditional and contemporary rhythms. With Colorá, the audience will travel to river basins of the Colombian Pacific Region, reliving ancestral forces of enslaved Africans through percussion rhythms of African and American winds singing an unique tonality full of magic and passionate love. As well as the rhythm of the caña de millo and the indigenous gaita, the sensuality of the adorned women with long polleras with Hispanic origin and timing movements will be shown to demonstrate Colombia is a country full of rhythmic steps and cheerful movements linking friendship, flavor, passion and joy. The audience will be able to travel around Colombian culture, feeling its native traditions among flowers, roses and carnations. Also, they will be able to enjoy strength of women represented in Mother Nature, they will travel through Colombian Caribbean and Colombian Pacific regions where the joy of colors, the built love underneath fibers of dancing hats, the rhythm provided by palms and drums raise melodies which sounds like freedom.
