CICATAL is focused on sustainability, knowledge management and innovation. With a roaster of 50 experts, and 6 permanent staff, CICATAL’s mandate focuses on making individual and organizational knowledge accessible to those who need it within the development system in Latin America, making use of efficient and suitable channels, designed to increase the capacity of organizations to absorb and adapt new knowledge. Drawing on the previous experience of their founders and technical adviser on Knowledge Sharing projects, CICATAL proposes a strategy called “network of networks”. What is the concept behind it? To act as a connector in real-time, building bridges between the needs of organizations and projects, and the actual supply of technical knowledge within the region. CICATAL has two articulated arms: The School for Sustainability (Researching, Consultancy, Capacity Building and Knowledge Sharing) and The Office por promoting technology for sustainability (Validation of technology and creation and management of distribution networks). All these pillars are closely linked to two main themes: innovation and technological development (tailored to specific needs in the working contexts). CICATAL's vision is to achieve a stable exchange and knowledge sharing on concepts, services and products between organizations and individuals interested in sustainable development,. CICATAL's mission is to promote innovation and technology development to deepen knowledge on issues related to sustainability through R&D; strengthening the knowledge and skills of people through training and knowledge sharing; supporting the development of organizations and individuals through specialized technical assistance and helping the commercial positioning of services and products for sustainability.
