ACOT Systems is a company that offers an A.I.-powered remote sensing service through a web platform called Firecatch, where live views from high-definition surveillance cameras are analyzed to detect the presence of smoke plumes corresponding to potential forest fires. Once this detection occurs, its location is determined and an infographic is sent to users responsible for managing the firefighting efforts through messaging platforms.Firecatch can detect these events from more than 15-20 kilometers away in images that are analyzed 5 times per second, pixel by pixel, increasing surveillance frequency and reducing intermittency in detection compared to currently used systems.
