Mandalay Design Group is a multi-disciplined design and production service firm with special focus on and extensive experience in the areas of international resort and hospitality developments. Our wide range of experience encompasses 4 and 5 star resort properties in Costa Rica, the Caribbean Basin, United States and China. Wood-based Products and Case Goods: Custom case goods and architectural millwork are largely produced from local and imported materials and are enhanced with unique finishes and exotic veneers and lacquer processes. All production plans and shop drawings are produced in in-house departments. Special production consideration is given to product endurance in commercial use and reliable wood product performance in different climatic environments. Upholstery, Seating and Soft Goods Production: Custom upholstery and seating are largely produced in Costa Rica from local and imported specialty materials, and international flammability code standards. Cover materials can be COM/COL or can be sourced and imported per designer directions. Special coating requirements (i.e. Nanotex, etc) can be accommodated. Mandalay Design Group maintains proven and reliable textile mill connections for the purpose of producing large custom runs of any type of commercial/home textile product, ranging from upholstery to window sheers. Such mills are primarily located in Turkey and India, and through their lower labor rates can produce a quality custom product at sharply reduced cost. Custom Metal Furnishings and Fixtures Custom products in this category are engineered for production in-house and largely fabricated in Costa Rica by specialized subcontractors under our supervision and quality control. We have engineered and executed very complex designs in this product category utilizing stainless steel stock, polished chrome and special metallic tint finishes
