Description
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is seeking to hire a consultancy to support the São Paulo Municipal Department of Education in promoting gender equality in early childhood. The central focus is to increase male participation in the care and exercise of parenthood in 26 educational units (CEIs, EMEIs and CEMEIs) in the municipality.
1. Training planning and execution
The consultancy will be responsible for implementing training cycles using active methodologies:
- Direct actions: Workshops, conversation circles, lectures and debates in each of the 26 participating units.
- Engagement: Mobilization of families and professionals to expand the presence of men in care activities and strengthen the parental bond.
- Teaching materials: Development of informative and formative content that supports discussions on gender roles in the school community.
2. Data collection and monitoring
The project is based on a scientific approach to impact measurement:
- Initial diagnosis: Application of questionnaires to identify current perceptions and practices on gender and care.
- Impact assessment: Systematic comparison between data collected before and after interventions to measure changes in attitude.
- Knowledge management: Systematization of learning in final reports and virtual materials accessible to the public and the educational network.
3. Governance and sustainability
Implementation requires close coordination with institutional partners:
- Technical alignment: Participation in monthly meetings with the Municipal Department of Education and the IDB for validation of steps.
- Continuity: Creation of methodological bases that allow the replication of co-responsibility practices in the public education system.
