Who we are: We at COMAPI are a cooperative formed by almost 1,200 members, operating in the surroundings of Simplício Mendes, state of Piaui. We focused on family agriculture with a strong ecological base, comprising 40,000 bee colonies and 46 European standard compliant honey extraction facilities. We provide our members with training on beekeeping in sustainable and organic way, in order to produce pure honey free of contaminants, protect our environment, our bees and those involved in our production process. Our products go through a strict quality control before arriving at your table, efficiently and carefully, which throughout our journey have earned several quality certifications: FLO-CERT Fair Trade, Organic - EU and US NOP, True Source, NON Gmo Project Verified, Family-base Agriculture. We have been exporting our products to the United States, Canada, Germany, England, France and Italy. We are proud to say the honey we bring to your table and that of so many others around the world, helps to strengthen our economy, improve the quality of life to many families in Piaui and to contribute to a greener future.
