The Product/Service: As stated above, the primary income flow for the organization will come from the sale of poultry products (Eggs and Chicken Meat), excess Farm products (Beans, maize, Soya beans and sunflower) sunflower will be process into edible cooking oil) within the target audience. The Company anticipates that each poultry will generate approximately K30.00 of income for the organization every month. Additional sources of income will include providing income of killed or live chickens to suppliers throughout the region at the cost of K60.00 each. The third section of the organization strategy will further explain the solutions offered by the Chicken Farm. My project is about Agri-Business (Poultry) in Kasama Northern province of Zambia. The type of business will have two sector in it. Farming to produce the raw materials needed for the making of feed for the poultry business. Many people especially women and girls are the victims in this hunger and poverty pandemic that led to early marriages, highly dropout of school and prostitution. How the plan is that the business will keep 10 000 (Ten thousand layers) and 2000 Village chicken (for breeding). The organization will then engage the villager especially women and girls at the poultry farm and men at the farm. The organization intends to support the community by providing training on how to manage and keep the chickens especially the village chickens which are easily available at very lower cost. • Intentionally, the organization after undergoing training of its workers, each will be given twenty village chickens to go at keep for Profit and household keeping. • At the farm, the organization has twelve hectors of land which will be used to grow sunflower, ground nuts, Maize and Soya Beans for feed production. • The organization will be using a cycling system where the raw materials for feed making will be coming from the farm and the manure from the Poultry houses will be taken to the farm instead of using chemical fertilizer. This will reduce the cost of production and will help the community understand on how they can do away with hunger using the available local resources. • Additionally, Soyabean and sunflower from the farm will further be processed to produce cooking oil for daily cooking and a large scale. This will also increase the Income and employment. • Poultry business is a lucrative business because the product is used in ways such as daily relish, baking and breakfast. Many people would like to enter into this business but the start-up capital is just too high especially the cost of feed. In the region we do not have companies producing chicken feed, there are all imported from Lusaka and Kitwe. Distance from the source of raw materials is another barrier, however, Graste Enterprise has come up with the idea of making up its own feed hence securing 12 hectare of land • The government in its 7th National Development Plan and Zambia Vison 2030, the government is putting the promotion of agriculture is a first priority. This has made the agriculture to receive some tax exemption especially on purchases of fixed.
