REACH Case Studies Dissemination Events

Dr. Wendy Hollingsworth, a Barbadian Intellectual Property expert, was contracted under the REACH Project to develop Case Studies of Caribbean small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) who have commercialised their intellectual property.  The Case Studies discuss lessons learned and recommendations for monetization strategies that can be beneficial for smaller firms seeking to be competitive in the Caribbean and international markets.  It is hoped that the Case Studies can be used as a teaching tool and will be beneficial to students and policymakers in understanding the growth of intellectual asset-based firms in the Caribbean.

Dr. Hollingsworth hosted two dissemination events were she presented the case studies that were developed and provided the opportunity for discussion on the presentation of the case study and on the case itself.  The first dissemination event was held in Barbados on October 31, 2017  where the case study on the Trinidad and Tobago Fine Cocoa Company was presented.  The second was held in Trinidad and Tobago on November 17, 2017 and the Mark Lee Lum and Associates case was presented.
