Kawa is a Costa Rican cacao company specialized in the production of premium clean-label chocolate and cacao products for international markets. Our mission is to create innovative cacao products that combine high-quality ingredients, sustainability, traceability, and authentic origin. Our flagship products include ceremonial cacao blocks and chocolate bars naturally sweetened with cacao fruit pulp (mucilage) instead of refined sugar. This unique approach allows us to develop products with minimal ingredients while preserving the natural flavor and nutritional qualities of cacao. We currently export our products to North America and Europe through both B2C and B2B channels, serving health-conscious consumers, specialty stores, wellness communities, and premium cacao markets. Our export-ready packaging and labeling were designed from the beginning for international commercialization. Kawa focuses on clean-label formulations, sustainable cacao sourcing, and consistent artisanal production processes. The company implements HACCP and BPM systems, maintains valid sanitary registrations, and has conducted nutritional analysis and heavy metal testing, including lead and cadmium. Kawa was formally established in 2021, building on more than seven years of experience in cacao production, formulation, and product development. Over the years, the company has continuously strengthened its production capabilities, export processes, and quality consistency for international markets. Kawa aims to position Costa Rican cacao as an innovative premium product category while promoting sustainable cacao utilization through the use of cacao fruit pulp as a natural sweetener. We are currently seeking strategic international partners, distributors, importers, and specialty retailers interested in premium cacao products with authentic origin and innovative formulations.
