EUROCHAMBRES - Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry

EUROCHAMBRES is a pan European business organization with outreach to EU 28 national and 1700 regional and local Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCIs). Its mission is to represent and promote business interests towards the European Institutions. EUROCHAMBRES is a recognized partner for the EU in developing policies relevant for the business community (SMEs, entrepreneurship, trade policy including FTA negotiations, IPR, etc.). It has proven experience in implementing large scale EU-funded projects to improve trade and investment relations between the EU and Latin America (Al-Invest III, Al-Invest IV) and significant experience in providing business development services to EU SMEs, implementing capacity building activities for business representatives and SMEs and conducting policy advocacy actions. Its Latin American team is currently working in the following EU-Latin American economic cooperation programmes: ELAN Network, Latin America IPR Helpdesk, Al-Invest 5.0. Additionally, it signed in 2014 cooperation agreements with EUROCAMARAS, European CCIs in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru for the promotion and dissemination of the projects activities. The association is an Associate Member of the Enterprise Europe Network http://een.ec.europa.eu/. The world’s largest support network for SMEs helps them make the most of business opportunities in the EU and beyond. EUROCHAMBRES works in close coordination with the Network Business Cooperation Centres (BCCs) in Latin America within the framework of the above listed programmes. EUROCHAMBRES is also member of the steering committee of the ERANet-LAC (www.eranet-lac.eu), a network of the European Union and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) on Joint Innovation and Research Activities. The association is Member of EU Advisory Group on Trade and Sustainable Development of the EU-Central America Association Agreement and the FTA between the EU and Colombia & Peru.
