Brand: The company Café da Condessa was founded by Maria Carolina Freire Roberto de Lima. She is the ninth generation in her family's coffee tradition and the first woman to manage the family property, and to develop and market the coffee produced on the Santo Antonio farms. Maria Carolina is Ms Geny's only granddaughter and the first woman in Brazil to manage a coffee brand on her own. Quality: The coffee beans used to produce the "Café da Condessa" coffee is grown on the Santo Antonio Estate, between 1000m and 1250m altitude,in the southern state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. This is a blessed region, which produces some of highest quality coffees in the word. The plantation is located on the eastern side of the farm, which has twenty-five water points and enjoys a gentle breeze, this geographical position, combined with good management practices, delivers a higher quality coffee and a special flavor both balanced and unique. The coffee used by Café da Condessa has not been "blended" with any other coffees of different types or regions, in order to ensure the highest level of quality. Tradition: The passion for coffee, has led the family, over the decades, to invest in buying land, expanding, and carrying for our coffee plantations. The ninth generation of the family now manages our plantations. Today, the family's coffee tradition which is over 180 years, has been combined with the latest technology to develop products of the highest quality for consumers who enjoy the finest coffee flavours. "It's a great honor to walk on the same floors that the grandparents of my great grandparents walked upon and enormous responsibility to manage what my family has been building for almost 200 years," says Maria Carolina, founder of the Café da Condessa brand.
