We are a startup aiming to create Tri-Color Maca Supplements with 100% ethically harvested Maca Root to sell direct to consumer. I began taking Maca Root a couple of years ago and it has improved my well being significantly, more importantly no more migraines and improved mood. I am a first generation college graduate and a mother of two small boys. I pursued an Operations & Supply Chain career where my passion lies in sustainability. Currently seeking the entrepreneurial road as I have uncovered passions related to both wellbeing and sustainably made products. My goal is to create an ethically and sustainably produced Tri-Color Maca Root supplement and provide fully transparent supply chains. The issue with many of today’s supplements is that when it comes to a rare ingredient, it is subject to biopiracy and consumers are not aware of it. We are seeking a supplier who is established in Peru and that works with the local farmers, as our primary purpose is to help those who could benefit from this wonderful plant while simultaneously creating opportunities and improving the quality of life in the region. I am from Mexican decent and speak Spanish fluently. I know many of the farmers are from different cultures and speak their native languages, I would like to get involved in the preservation, research, and education of these ingredients as a way to preserve and educate the world about Peru's native cultures. I believe it to be important to work towards sustaining a connection with nature by respecting and caring for the environment and the people around us. I am at the beginning phase of my startup and would appreciate any help or feedback I can acquire.
