Ms de la Torre is the founder of Matiz Communications Inc. (in Miami, Florida and Toronto, Canada). Matiz Communications Inc. is a leading Media, Public Relations and Communications company specializing in the field of Trade, Culture, Tourism and Communications consulting sector within the Americas. Matiz has covered from the Promotion and Sales to the Publishing and Production of the Media spectrum in Tourism and Trade within the Americas. In January 1985, Matiz expanded her offices to Canada with an exclusive contract with the Dominican Republic, as their Director of Tourism, Airline and Trade. Matiz has also represented, other Latin and Caribbean countries, like Costa Rica, Panama, US Virgin Islands and Porta del Sol (17 municipalities) in Puerto Rico. In the early 90's, for five years, Matiz Communications, published -LATIN TRADE Canada with enormous success. In the media and communication business she has been the creator, producer and lead organizer for numerous media outlets including TV, Radio, Print media and events for several stations such as US - New York (Channel 47); Toronto, Canada (CIAO Radio, Energy 108 FM, CHIN Radio & Global Groove Networks). Her Super Latin Hits radio program is still running in Edmonton's 101.7 World FM. Ms. de la Torre has always believed in her community and how both countries, US and Canada, can play a key role in the development of the Americas. She has always kept active on a volunteer pro-bono basis specializing in the organization of youth and senior oriented Ethnocultural events and services.
