Hacienda Hato Verde is part of an antique big dairy farm. Its elegant farm house 130 years old was reconstructed in 2004 preserving its rustic materials such as pumice-stone, decorations and style. The country-house serves as home of the owner and his family and also has ten (10) thoughtfully decorated bedrooms, each with fireplace, bathroom, beds with white duck feather duvets and a beautiful view of the farm. We can accommodate up to 18 persons. Hacienda Hato Verde is a family run - working farm located in an Andean Valley an hour and 15 minutes traveling south through the "Avenue of the Volcanoes" to Cotopaxi, the highest active volcano in the world; 55 Km South of Quito; 13Km North of Latacunga (Capital of the province of Cotopaxi) and 40 Kms North of Ambato (Capital of the Province of Tungurahua). Nearby you can find interesting sights and attractions such as Indian markets and fairs in Saquisilí, Latacunga, Pujilí and Ambato; beautiful lagoons such as Yambo, Anteojos and Quilotoa. At the farmhouse you will receive a charming hospitality and a friendly - family ambience. There is a dining room with a cozy oven perfect for making home-made bread and pizzas, the library-bar where one can while away the evening with an exquisite bottle of wine or a selection of fine spirits while soothing background music creates an atmosphere where the hours just melt away. While the hours pass in the living rooms, fine cuisine is being prepared in the kitchen and delicious tea and coffee is available around the clock.
