Designated local arts agency for Broward County. Incentive Programs- The Division’s mission is: Enhancing the community’s cultural environment through the development of the arts. BCD administers seven (7) cultural incentive (grant) programs (three project specific categories and four for operating support) for a range of eligible small, community-based, mid-size, or large cultural non-profits; Broward-resident artists; cultural tourism projects, and arts education services (two programs: Cultural Planning and Facilities Program and Creative Place Making Program {Design Arts}. BCD provides 90 awards with a grant budget of $2,635,400; 42 professional development workshops with 1,069 participants; 123 artists and organizations received County financial support.
