Established in 2016, Amazonica Energy was created to develop and implement natural gas and power projects in the Amazon region of Brazil. Its primary objective is to boost the natural gas market throughout the Amazon region, while creating social and economical benefits as a result from the region’s energy integration. In order to achieve its objective, Amazonica Energy plans to build and operate a natural gas distribution infrastructure in the states of Amazonas and Pará, which will comprise a LNG Storage facility and Regasification terminals, as well as a LNG terminal in the State of Pará, known as Uirapuru Project. Amazonica Energy was founded by professionals with a solid experience and knowledge of the Brazilian Infrastructure & Power sectors and with active participation in the most relevant projects developed in Brazil over the last decade.
