Description
The Co-operative Republic of Guyana, through the Ministry of Education, is implementing the first operation of the Conditional Credit Line for Investment Projects (CCLIP) titled "Support for Educational Recovery and Transformation" (GY-L1079), with support from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
The project focuses on human capital development by enhancing learning environments and expanding educational services for vulnerable students. A significant priority of this initiative is addressing Special Education Needs and Disability (SEND), ensuring that every student has access to the specialized support required for their academic and personal growth.
Scope of services:
- Capacity building: Strengthening the Regional Special Education Needs Centres (RSNEC) to assess and manage students with behavioural and developmental challenges.
- Direct service delivery: Providing specialized support and interventions for students with SEND.
- Systems strengthening: Integrating behavioural strategies into Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or similar customized educational frameworks.
- Training and support: Conducting specialized training sessions for educators and caregivers to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Qualification requirements:
- Academic background: A minimum of a Master’s degree in Behavioural Therapy, Psychology, Applied Behaviour Analysis, or a related field.
- Professional experience: Significant experience in behavioural assessment and intervention, specifically working with children with SEND in school-based or clinical settings.
- Technical expertise: Proven track record in developing intervention plans and training caregivers and educators in behavioural management.
- Strategic integration: Experience in applying behavioural strategies within structured individualised education programs.
