Description
The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of the Dominican Republic has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the Integrated and Sustainable Solid Waste Management Program in Greater Santo Domingo. This consultancy aims to design and execute a comprehensive social census to identify and characterize the populations linked to the Duquesa landfill, as well as the updating and implementation of the Social Inclusion Plan (PISO) to mitigate impacts and strengthen the social sustainability of the interventions.
Scope of the consultancy
- Comprehensive social census: Design and execution of a systematic register of people, households and social groups directly or indirectly linked to the operations of the Duquesa landfill and its area of influence.
- Implementation of the PISO: Update and implementation of the Social Inclusion Plan to promote the socioeconomic inclusion of vulnerable populations.
- Restoration of livelihoods: Development of actions aimed at mitigating social impacts and contributing to the economic recovery of affected groups.
- Social sustainability: Strengthening the social viability of the interventions of the comprehensive waste management program.
Qualification Requirements
- Technical capacity: Description of similar services performed and demonstration of experience under conditions comparable to those of the project.
- Organizational structure: Information that accredits the organizational capabilities of the firm to meet the objectives.
- Legal documentation: Submission of constituent documents and any other relevant documentation demonstrating the legality of the signature.
