Description
Fairtrasa is a social enterprise that supports farmers, giving them with training and resources to overcome poverty and transforming them in independent agro-businessmen.
Fairtrasa is looking to develop its mission in Latin America and the Caribbean. In order to do that, is seeking to help local farmer cooperatives or medium-size farmers of the region in overcoming some of the most common problems they face - such as not being able to find buyers, get cheated or not having the know-how and skills to export their products directly. In some cases, Fairtrasa invests in the companies of these farmers or establishes joint ventures with them.
Through ConnectAmericas, Fairtrasa aims to find farmers (small scale local exporters, cooperatives and individual farmers) producing all kinds of fruit (Bananas, avocados, lemons, limes, grapefruits and other citrus fruits, mangos, etc) and that are interested in collaborating and being part of its development programs.
If you're a small farmer or a representative of a cooperative of small-scale farmers, Fairtrasa wants to hear from you. Please send an e-mail to patrick.struebi@fairtrasa.com with copy to madeintheamericas@connectamericas.com, with the following information:
- Presentation of your company, cooperative or organization.
- Size of your organization - number of employees.
- List of clients.
- Description and products catalog.
- Marketing and sales channels.
- Web page, if you have one.
- Full contact details.
