Description
The Dominican Republic has requested financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the Sustainable Coastal Management Project. In this framework, the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic (MITUR) invites eligible consulting firms to express their interest to carry out the technical survey and detailed cadastral investigation of 25 priority beaches. This effort is key to defining the legal and cartographic situation of the Maritime-Terrestrial Public Domain Area, facilitating sustainable development and the protection of the country's coastal resources.
Scope of the consultancy
The services are part of the Environment and Natural Disasters sector and are organized into 11 lots that cover the following activities:
High-precision surveying: Establishing a three-dimensional mapping base using advanced technologies.
Cadastral investigation: Determination of the legal status of the properties in the prioritized areas of intervention.
Geographical distribution: The works cover strategic beaches in provinces such as Santo Domingo (Boca Chica), La Altagracia (Bávaro, Bayahibe), Samaná (Las Galeras, Rincón), Puerto Plata (Cabarete, Sosúa), Pedernales (Bahía de las Águilas), among others.

Eligibility: Open to consulting firms from IDB member countries, which may be joint ventures or include subcontractors.
Signature experience: At least 10 years of experience in the market is required.
Specific technical expertise: Demonstrate the execution of at least two survey projects with LiDAR technology and two cadastral measurement projects, both with minimum areas of 40,000 m².
