Juan Esteban Echavarría

am a Colombian agroindustrial entrepreneur focused on developing scalable and sustainable solutions around the avocado value chain. Over the past years, I have concentrated on building industrial capabilities in avocado oil extraction, refining and value-added byproduct utilization under a circular economy approach. My experience has been primarily hands-on, combining operational development, process optimization, commercial expansion and industrial scaling strategies. I have led the development of collaborative processing models with growers, export-oriented operations and new refining initiatives focused on positioning Colombia as a competitive player in the avocado oil industry. Currently, my main focus is the expansion of refining capacity, international commercial partnerships and the development of higher-value functional ingredients and sustainable avocado-derived products.
