Fernando García possesses over 25 years of international experience organizing efficient technical advisory teams on environmental management, regional development, natural resource management and business development. He has effectively directed more than 10 work teams in the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Mexico. For 20 years he has successfully provided technical assistance in sustainable tourism as an engine for local, regional and national development. Mr. García has encouraged the promotion of information and Communication Technologies to promote the effectiveness, efficiency and collective management of continuous improvement in tourism companies. This has directly led to significant innovations: firstly the establishment of a information ystem to inform key stakeholders about performance and sustainability criteria and how these relate to the day-to-day operations of the company and their associated benefits. Secondly, the design of management systems that provide real time information to auditors, companies, technicians and government officials on compliance with standards and the investments necessary to increase quality and performance. Thirdly, the design and deveopment of an information System for the National Tourism Registry in El Salvador.
