RITA HILTON

I was born in Mombasa, Kenya in 1940. i completed my private secondary education in Kenya and proceeded on scholarship to Edinburgh Scotland. 1957-1961 i undertook a course of study and graduated MA(Hons) Degree in Geography. 1961-1963 completed the Diploma of Education at the University of London. In 1963 i immigrated to Jamaica and proceeded to teach in the secondary school system. During this time i conducted a number of field trips for students and teachers across the island which also gave me a thorough knowledge of the climate and environment of the production base of the country. further experience in the Banking, Management training and export sectors enabled me to form (Marketing Developments Ltd ) now renamed Carita Jamaica Ltd and become a woman entrepreneur.
