Lynn R. Hijar

Lynn R. Híjar has over 17 years of international business and diplomatic relations experience where she has held leadership roles in the business, government, non-profit, and military fields. Her experience includes serving as Director of Protocol (International and Diplomatic Relations) at the City of San Diego, Director of Community Relations and Protocol for the U.S. Naval Air Forces, and heading the Trade Research Department and founding the Latin America Desk at the World Trade Center San Diego. She is the founder and CEO of iBiz247 International Business Center.

Lynn earned a Masters degree in Global Leadership and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, both from the University of San Diego. She has several other certifications including All-Services Protocol and Diplomacy from the U.S. Department of Defense at The Pentagon, Event Management from George Washington University, Project Management from the University of San Diego, and Marketing and Media from San Diego State University.

Lynn serves on several boards including BBVA Compass San Diego Market Advisory Board, Point Loma Nazarene University's Institute of Politics and Public Service, and the University of San Diego Emerging Leaders Council. She has served on over 30 other boards including World Trade Center San Diego, San Diego Museum of Man, United States University, Japan Society of San Diego and Tijuana, and United Through Reading. She has been a recipient of the San Diego Metropolitan 40 Under 40 awards, recognized as a Woman Who Means Business by the San Diego Business Journal, and a Woman of Impact by the University of San Diego. Lynn grew up in Mexico City and has traveled to more than 60 countries, speaks Spanish fluently, and studied Japanese and French.
