Karen M. Aguilar

I live in a small town in Honduras, located in the north coast, called Tela. I am currently working as the Executive Director of the local Chamber of Commerce. Parallel to that, I'm trying to develop my own entrepreneurship which is called Caribbean Botanics Aromatherapy, right now I'm working on the business plan and prototypes of the products: scrubs, soaps, whipped butter body creams, candles, and other aromatherapy products. Also, I am certifying this year as an International Coach and Speaker in leadership, business and self-growth through the John Maxwell Team. My family owns a jewelry store, that has been working for 40 years; so, you can say I have been in the private industry for quite a while. In my personal life, I am a 37-year-old, single mother of 3, who is trying to find new ways of building business, with social impact, not just in the environment (which is very important), but also in human resource, giving opportunities to develop people, offering chances that help people grow within, therefore be more productive and love what they do. That impact can be multiplying in society, and as a result have safer societies.
