Gerardo Antonio Brenes Trejos

Founder and Current President and CEO of Global Business Systems – GBSYS, S.A. Since 1979 has been in the software development and information technology consulting market mainly in the Central American Region. Mr. Brenes has worked as an Information Technology Specialist in large projects funded by UNDP, IDB, European Communities and other large institutions such as Banco Nacional de Costa Rica. He is a founder and member of the board of directors of The Costa Rican Chamber of Information and Communication Technologies and advises the Minister of Science and Technology as member of the National Incentives Commission for Science and Technology Research. He holds a bachelors degree in Administrative Computing from the Costa Rican Institute of Technology (ITCR) where he held a teaching position for more than 10 years and a Master of Science in Information and Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech).
