Advice and support for exporters from El Salvador

PROESA supports exporting companies through advisory services aimed at facilitating their preparation and incursion into foreign markets.

PROESA, the Trade Promotion Organization in El Salvador, offers exporters based in El Salvador five areas of service and information. These are:

• Advisory Services for Exporters: this advice focuses on four areas: information services (eg, export procedures, rules and regulations in destination countries, market access conditions, certification information, statistics and other market information), support to companies´ adaptation processes (eg, finding suppliers, export price calculation, marketing strategy, legal and logistics consulting), complementary strategic information (eg, information that supports the decision-making process by entrepreneurs who want venture into foreign markets), trade promotion (business contacts abroad, support participation in trade fairs and missions) 
  
• Support Programs: PROESA offers two programs: Exporting Step by Step ("Exporta Paso a Paso", this is a program implemented by PROESA and the Ministry of the Economy, and provides you with first-hand market information, training, technical assistance and support in the promotion of products and services that have potential in selected foreign markets) y Export Plus ("Exporta más", this is a program, implemented by PROESA and the Ministry of the Economy, which provides market information and supports the diversification and growth of your company´s international business)
• Trade shows and trade missions: PROESA offers a program of trade fairs and missions for firms from El Salvador to showcase their products abroad
• Business Opportunities: PROESA offers you contacts of businesses that demand Salvadoran products. For each opportunity, PROESA gives you information about the requested product, country, technical specifications, and contact information of the potential buyer. To access this information you must be a registered user of PROESA. 
• Documentation Center: PROESA provides online information on international markets and trade related issues. The information center is divided into the following areas: documents and studies, relevant websites, frequently asked questions, international trade statistics, and a directory of providers.

PROESA also offers services to international buyers interested in products from El Salvador. These services are:

• Search for Suppliers: PROESA offers international buyers support in their search for Salvadoran suppliers of goods and services, the preparation of country visits, and the search for strategic information on preferential conditions, logistics and foreign trade statistics.
