Hiring of a specialized company for the execution of geophysical studies aimed at hydrogeological characterization and the identification of potential areas for groundwater abstraction in indigenous communities of the Upper Rio Purus DSEI

The Inter-American Development Bank invites consulting firms to submit their Expression of Interest to carry out geophysical studies using the electrical resistivity method in indigenous communities of the Alto Rio Purus Special Indigenous Health District (DSEI/ARP), Brazil. The objective is to characterize hydrogeological conditions and identify potential areas for groundwater harvesting through deep tube wells.
1. Planning and execution of geophysical studies
Coordinate field campaigns with the IDB, SESAI, DSEI/ARP and the technical consultant in Geology. Execute 10 geophysical surveys in five indigenous villages, including preliminary reconnaissance and data acquisition.
2. Hydrogeological processing and interpretation
Generate two-dimensional models of electrical resistivity, identify anomalies associated with saturated areas, fractures and aquifers, and integrate the results with geological, hydrogeological and topographic information.
3. Identification of priority areas and deliverables
Prepare technical reports with maps, interpretive profiles and recommendations of priority locations for future drilling. Deliver original data, models, parameters and complete documentation of the processing.
The contract does not include drilling, construction, testing or installation of wells.
