Expansion of the Right Bank ltaipú and Villa Hayes Substations in 500 kV

Description

The Republic of Paraguay has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank for the High Voltage Transmission System Expansion – Phase II project and will use part of the proceeds to finance this contract. The operation is PR-L1183 and the loan agreement is 5502/OC-PR.
The National Electricity Administration (ANDE) invites eligible bidders to submit bids for the supply of 500 kV and 220 kV equipment and the execution of the works corresponding to the expansions of the Itaipu and Villa Hayes Right Bank substations. The estimated execution period is 18 months.
The procurement will be carried out through International Public Bidding in accordance with the Policies for the Acquisition of Works and Goods financed by the IDB. Bidders must demonstrate previous experience in the expansion and construction of 500 kV substations, meet the IDB's eligibility criteria and demonstrate a minimum average annual turnover of US$17,000,000.
Bids must include a US$1,020,000 Bid Maintenance Guarantee. Electronic submission of bids is not permitted.
