Third Corridor 500 kV Chamberlain - Cardal - Pando

Description

Uruguay, through the National Administration of Power Plants and Electrical Transmissions (UTE), is in the process of negotiating financing with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the execution of Tender P103888. This call invites closed bids for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of the infrastructure of the Third 500 kV Corridor.

Scope of the works
Main objective: Comprehensive development in three items of electrical infrastructure:

Item I: 500 kV double tern transmission line Chamberlain - Cardal - Pando. Execution periods: Stage 1 (36 months - Cardal-Pando circuit) and Stage 2 (60 months - total work).

Item II: New Pando 500 kV substation. Execution periods: Stage 1 (36 months - Section 2 complete and bars 1 and 2 laid) and Stage 2 (42 months - total work).

Item III: Expansion of the Chamberlain and Cardal 500 kV substations. Execution periods: Stage 1 (36 months - Cardal 500 kV) and Stage 2 (42 months - Chamberlain 500 kV).

Qualification Requirements and Conditions
Evaluation criteria: Compliance with the technical, legal and financial requirements detailed in the Tender Specifications.

Bid maintenance guarantee: Bidders may choose to submit one guarantee per item (Item I: USD $1,900,000.00; Item II: USD $500,000.00; Item III: USD $2,000.00) or refrain from submitting it, in which case failure to maintain the proposal will be sanctioned with a fine equivalent to 5% of the maximum amount offered.

Access to the specifications: The Bidding Documents are available for consultation and download on the website of the State Procurement Regulatory Agency (ARCE) of Uruguay in www.comprasestatales.gub.uy.

Delivery modality: The receipt of bids will be made exclusively online through the State Procurement portal. Proposals submitted by other means will be rejected.
