Description

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is calling on consulting firms with experience in integrated socio-environmental management and multilateral safeguards to carry out the identification, evaluation and diagnosis of liabilities in the Misicuni System. The objective is to structure remediation plans and management strategies that enable the sustainable development of Phase 3 of the project.

1. Diagnosis and categorization of liabilities
Baseline assessment: Exhaustive review of the available technical documentation and diagnosis of the current environmental and social situation in the system.

Technical classification: Identification, inventory and formal categorization of the liabilities detected according to their level of risk or criticality.

Socio-environmental prognosis: Preparation of projections and recommendations that detail the impact and deterioration scenarios in the event that liabilities are not addressed in a timely manner.

2. Remediation and strengthening plans
Remediation plan: Design of an implementation proposal that includes a timeline, estimate of financial/human resources, and assignment of those responsible.

Strategy for Phase 3: Formulation of a social and environmental management plan specifically adapted for technical intervention in the development area of the third phase.

Capacity building: Proposal of institutional strengthening measures to improve the socio-environmental performance of the operating entities.

3. Community consultation and validation
Stakeholder Dialogue: Conduct of consultation and participation processes with local communities directly affected by the operations of ENDE and Misicuni.

Systematization of demands: Preparation of detailed reports that collect the concerns, suggestions for improvement and the validation of the communities.

Executive closing: Preparation and delivery of the final technical reports along with an executive presentation for the Misicuni Company.
