Description
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is calling on consulting firms to update the sustainability model of the YAWA complex in Cali (Colombia). The project seeks to optimize the operation of buildings 1 and 2, analyzing their museographic viability and structuring commercial alternatives to reduce dependence on the public budget.
1. Operational diagnosis and gap analysis
- Building Assessment 1: Identifying gaps between the original design and the current operation in terms of cost, revenue, demand generation, and infrastructure use.
- Museum analysis: Evaluation of the relevance of the museographic component and its real capacity to attract the public and contribute to general sustainability.
- Qualitative survey: Conducting interviews with key actors to map the potential demand and opportunities for improvement of the complex.
2. Building 2 vocation and commercial diversification
- Functional complement: Definition of the vocation of building 2 as a complementary space to building 1, maximising the value of the complex without predefining uses.
- Business services: Structuring offers for the corporate sector, including the use of physical spaces, specialized services and private partnerships.
- Revenue strategies: Design of financing proposals that take advantage of the available infrastructure to diversify monetary flows.
3. Governance and roadmap
- Management schemes: Recommendations on governance and operational articulation between both buildings and public, private and academic actors.
- Action plan: Preparation of a short- and medium-term roadmap containing actions, milestones, risks, and general implementation options.
- Strategic Report: Consolidation of results and data transfer under the formats and quality standards required by the IDB for the District's decision-making.
Note: Interested companies should review the requirements on the BEO Bidder Portal.
