Description

The Plurinational State of Bolivia, through the Conoce Bolivia program, has received financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the Cultural Heritage Tourism Management Program. This national public tender aims at the comprehensive restoration of the National Mint in Potosí, one of the most significant colonial monuments in the Americas and a key piece of world heritage. The project focuses on the preservation and enhancement of this historic infrastructure to strengthen the sustainable tourism circuit in the region, ensuring that technical interventions respect the architectural authenticity of the building while improving its capacity for cultural reception.

Scope of the work
The services are part of the Sustainable Tourism sector and include the following technical activities:

Architectural Restoration: Execution of conservation and restoration works in the structure of the National Mint.

Execution Time: A construction time of 150 days is estimated.

Heritage Management: Application of specialized criteria for the intervention of historic buildings under the framework of the Tourism Management Program.

Regulatory Compliance: The works must follow the current conservation guidelines for national monuments and the IDB's environmental and social safeguarding standards.

Qualification Requirements
The tender will be conducted through the National Public Bidding (LPN) procedure, in accordance with IDB policies:

Firm Experience: Demonstration of solid track record in heritage restoration projects or buildings of similar complexity.

Key personnel: Compliance with the specific Terms of Reference (TOR) for the specialist professionals who will direct the work.

Economic proposal: Detailed presentation of the Unit Price Form.

Bid Maintenance: All proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Maintenance Statement.

Presentation: Bids must be delivered physically to the offices of the Conoce Bolivia Program in La Paz. Electronic bids are not permitted.
